Storm acquires goaltender

Press Release

Guelph Storm General Manager Mike Kelly announced today that the team has signed goaltender Michael Nishi to an Ontario Hockey League contract after he was released from the Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL.

Prior to joining the Olympiques this season, the 19 year old netminder saw action over three seasons in the OHL.  In 27 games between Windsor, Sault Ste. Marie and Ottawa, the Toronto native had a 12-9-1-2 record with a 3.47 goals against average. Last season in Ottawa, Nishi owned a 3.31 GAA with a 0.902 save percentage in 17 games.  Playing for Gatineau this season, he had two shutouts and a 3.59 GAA.
Nishi will dress for the Storm on Friday as the Barrie Colts come to town.
