The Texas Tornado of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are pleased to announce that 18U forward Austin Murray has signed an NAHL tender with the Odessa Jackalopes. The Jackalopes are in the NAHL’s South Division.
Murray, 18, currently leads the 18U Division and the Tornado in goals
this season with 18 heading into the final regular season event of the
2012-13 season in Troy, Michigan, this upcoming weekend from January
18-21. The Dallas, Texas native is also tied for the league lead with 7
power play goals and 4 game-winning goals and his 23 points ranks 3rd
on the Tornado roster. The Tornado are currently in 1st place in the
NAPHL 18U Red Division with 25 points.
Murray (5’7/162) played exceptionally well at the last NAPHL event in
Frisco, Texas, as he totaled nine points in four games played, which
included six goals and three points as the Tornado posted a 3-0-1 record
at the event. This is the first NAHL tender of the 2012-13 season for
the Tornado and also the first signed by Odessa this season.
