PARKER COMMITS TO BEMIDJI STATE

Press Release

Wayne, NJ- The Jersey Hitmen are proud to announce that forward, John Parker (Green Brook, NJ), has accepted a scholarship to Bemidji State for the fall of 2013. Parker, a late season acquisition after departing the University of Maine, joined the Hitmen on January 3rd.

In his freshman season at Maine, Parker led all U of Maine freshman forwards in scoring with a 3-4-7 scoring line. Since joining the Hitmen, Parker has added veteran leadership and solidified an already potent offensive attack.

"John was a welcomed addition to the locker room," commented coach Toby Harris. "From the time he stepped onto the ice, he fit right into what we were doing as a team seamlessly. He is well liked and respected in the locker room. His presence alone makes us that much of a better team.

Harris went on to say, "coach Serratore and Bemidji State are getting one heck of a kid, a tireless worker, a tremendous locker room guy, and a great player. I am very happy for both John and his family and wish him all the best in his future hockey endeavors!"

Parker's division one commitment caps off the best year ever in Hitmen recruiting. With his signing the Hitmen have now reached their 20th division one commitment and 21st NCAA commitment overall. Congratulations go out to the Hitmen players, staff and ownership on all of their hard work and this amazing achievement!
