The Maritime Junior Hockey League announced on Thursday that the 2011 MHL Draft and Annual General Meeting will be hosted in the beautiful city of Dieppe, New Brunswick by the Dieppe Commandos. The AGM and Draft are scheduled to take place on June 10th and 11th.
This will be the first draft for the Commandos organization. Prior to the Commandos organization, the Moncton Beavers hosted a number of successful drafts. The Commandos, who recently hosted a very well received Fred Page Cup in 2009, offer the league with a solid team of organizers that will provide for an excellent event.
"The Dieppe Commandos Hockey Club is extremely proud to have the opportunity to host the 2011 Annual General Meeting and Draft", said Commandos GM Jean Francois Damphousse. "It is a great event to host and we feel fortunate that the Maritime Junior Hockey League has given us their confidence. We intend to put on a great weekend for all of our member teams, eligible players and fans."
The Commandos organization is now planning details for the event's meetings and draft. More of these details will be released in the near future as plans are finalized.
