Heil Commits To Colorado College

The Colorado Thunderbirds U18 team is pleased to announce that Christian Heil has committed to play college hockey for the Colorado College Tigers of the WCHA starting in the fall of 2013. Christian, born in 1994, is a forward playing for the Colorado Thunderbirds U18 team and is from Westminster, CO. He has played two games with the Chicago Steel of the USHL this season. He was also a member of the 2010 Tier 1 U16 National Championship Thunderbird team.

"We are very proud of Christian. All of his hard work and commitment to becoming a better player has paid off. CC is getting a phenomenal student and terrific hockey player," said Angelo Ricci, Thunderbirds U18 Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. "The Thunderbird organization continues to provide an avenue for the elite student-athlete to develop and advance to the highest levels. We are extremely excited for Christian, he will be a valuable member of the Tiger hockey program."

Christian is the third member of the Thunderbird U18 team to commit to a NCAA Division 1 Hockey program this season. He joins Brad Hawkinson and Tyler Pham both of who have committed to play for CC's biggest rival, the University of Denver Pioneers.
