Gabriel Lévesque, Ben Duffy and Jean-François Bérubé are the TELUS three stars of the week

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, January 24, 2011 – Forwards Gabriel Lévesque and Ben Duffy as well as goaltender Jean-François Bérubé were named today the TELUS three stars of the week from January 17 to January 23, 2011.

Acadie-Bathurst Titan center Gabriel Lévesque is the first star of the week. The forward registered five goals and two helpers for a total of seven points while posting a +7 rating in three games, resulting in three wins against the Moncton Wildcats, the PEI Rocket and the Lewiston MAINEiacs. He also scored his 25th goal of the season while recording his second goal of the game against the PEI Rocket last week.

PEI Rocket center Ben Duffy is the second star of the week after he collected six goals and one assist for a total of seven points in three games. Duffy also managed to keep a +1 rating. Even if his team lost two games last week, Duffy managed to be named the first star of the game twice while also scoring two goals in a loss against the Moncton Wildcats.

Finally, Jean-François Bérubé is the TELUS third star of the week. The Montreal Juniors backstop collected two wins in two games with stellar performances against both Rouyn-Noranda and Gatineau. He finished the week with a 0.50 goals-against-average and a .977 save percentage by stopping 42 of the 43 shots he faced. Berube also registered a shutout against the Gatineau Olympiques last Sunday.
