LANCERS FORWARD TABRUM COMMITS TO DENVER

Press Release

OMAHA, NE – The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that forward Matt Tabrum has committed to the University of Denver and will join the Pioneers in the Fall of 2011. A second-year forward from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tabrum has recorded 10 goals, two assists and 12 points in 30 games this season. At the season’s midway point, Tabrum has recorded just 16 penalty minutes while posting three power play goals, two game-winning markers and 62 shots on goal. He was acquired by Omaha on January 3rd in a trade with Sioux Falls that sent forwards Tom O’Regan and Mitch Hughes to the Stampede.

The Colorado Springs native saw limited action last season during his rookie campaign in the USHL after an injury limited him to just two games and zero points in Sioux Falls a season ago. Tabrum was originally selected 97th overall (Round 8) by the Stampede in the 2009 USHL Entry Draft.
