BROWN TRADED TO SARNIA FOR NEVINS AND PICK

Press Release

The Kingston Frontenacs announce today that they have traded overage captain Tyler Brown to the Sarnia Sting for rookie centreman Jack Nevins and a 3rd round selection in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.

“This is an opportunity we felt was beneficial for both clubs,” said Doug Gilmour, General Manger of the Frontenacs. “Brownie (Tyler Brown) has been a great leader and player for our Club and we felt he deserved a chance to win a title in his last season. We wish him all the best,” he added.

“In return we are adding a big young forward to the club in Nevins and a good draft pick,” said GM Gilmour.

Nevins, a Stittsville native, has played 36 games in his rookie campaign and has recorded four goals and five points with 60 minutes in penalties. Signed as a free agent from the Kemptville 73s this summer, Nevins played in 37 games last season, scoring once and adding three assists along with 50 penalty minutes. The 6.02, 212 pounder will join the Club in time for this weekend’s games and wear #23.
