Jones Off to Alaska

Another SJHL'er is off to Alaska.

Nipawin Hawks netminder Davis Jones has signed a letter of intent to play at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (Division 1 NCAA).

Jones joins Humboldt Bronco teammates Joey Davies and Cody Pettapiece as the trio of recent SJHL'er who will head north.

Jones arrived from the Fort MacMurray OIl Barons and has been nothing short of spectacular ever since.
The reigning SJHL goaltender of the year put up a .932 save percentage last season while posting a 26-12 record, leading the Hawks to game seven of the Bauer Conference semi-final.

Jones is 8-4 this season and has the Hawks in the hunt for top spot in the Bauer Conference as the second half of the season begins.
