Lansing's Polin signs NAHL tender with Topeka

Press Release

The Lansing Capitals of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced that 18U defenseman Ryan Polin has signed an NAHL tender with the Topeka RoadRunners of the NAHL’s South Division.

Polin, 18, is in his second season with the Capitals 18U team in the NAPHL.  To date this season, the native of Holt, Michigan, has three goals and three assists for six points in 14 NAPHL games played.  Polin (6’0/185) has been hot as of late as he has registered a point in his last two games, which came at the NAPHL Showcase in Blaine, MN, earlier this month.

The Lansing 18U team, who put together a 4-1 record at the event, current sits on top of the NAPHL’s White Division with a 10-2-2 record so far this season.

Last season, Polin tied for the team scoring lead for defenseman with 16 points (along with James LaDouce, who is now with the NAHL’s Amarillo Bulls).  The other big chunk of Polin’s production this season came back during the NAPHL’s first event in Blaine when he had three points.

Polin is the 13th NAPHL player this season to tender with an NAHL team and first from the Lansing Capitals 18U team.  To see a complete NAPHL to NAHL tender list, click here.
