Weekend Roster Changes for Cape Breton

Press Release

Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today a number of changes in their roster for their weekend games against the Halifax Mooseheads.  The Screaming Eagles host the Mooseheads at Centre 200 Friday night at 7pm before travelling to Halifax for a Saturday night game at the Halifax Metro Centre.

The Screaming Eagles will be without three players attending the 2013 Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Quebec.  Participating players include Zack Moody (Team Atlantic), Clarke Bishop (Team Atlantic), and Alex Bureau (Team Quebec).

Additionally, the Screaming Eagles will be without Cole Murphy (broken finger), William Carrier (lower body), Jakub Culek (upper body), and Alexandre Lavoie.

The Screaming Eagles have bolstered their roster by adding 20-year-old forward Dany Potvin who played the last two seasons with the Screaming Eagles and is currently playing with the Concordia Stingers. Potvin will be joined by 20-year-old forward Cory MacIntosh who will remain in the Screaming Eagles lineup after being called up by the team for their December 21st game against the Moncton Wildcats.  MacIntosh is currently playing mens hockey for the St. Francis Xavier X-men.

Forward Zack Beaton has also been recalled; he played 11 games with the Screaming Eagles earlier this season before being reassigned to Summerside Western Capitols of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League.  Screaming Eagles 2012 third round pick, forward Julien Pelletier will also be in the Screaming Eagles lineup.  Pelletier, a native of Gatineau, Quebec is currently 8th in scoring in the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League.

Newly acquired forwards Bryce Milson (acquired from Drummondville) and Michael Lyle (Acadie-Bathurst) will also arrive on time to play in this weekend’s games.
