Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles
announced today a number of changes in their roster for their weekend
games against the Halifax Mooseheads. The Screaming Eagles host the
Mooseheads at Centre 200 Friday night at 7pm before travelling to
Halifax for a Saturday night game at the Halifax Metro Centre.
The
Screaming Eagles will be without three players attending the 2013
Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Quebec. Participating players include Zack
Moody (Team Atlantic), Clarke Bishop (Team Atlantic), and Alex Bureau
(Team Quebec).
Additionally,
the Screaming Eagles will be without Cole Murphy (broken finger),
William Carrier (lower body), Jakub Culek (upper body), and Alexandre
Lavoie.
The Screaming
Eagles have bolstered their roster by adding 20-year-old forward Dany
Potvin who played the last two seasons with the Screaming Eagles and is
currently playing with the Concordia Stingers. Potvin will be joined by
20-year-old forward Cory MacIntosh who will remain in the Screaming
Eagles lineup after being called up by the team for their December 21st
game against the Moncton Wildcats. MacIntosh is currently playing mens
hockey for the St. Francis Xavier X-men.
Forward
Zack Beaton has also been recalled; he played 11 games with the
Screaming Eagles earlier this season before being reassigned to
Summerside Western Capitols of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League.
Screaming Eagles 2012 third round pick, forward Julien Pelletier will
also be in the Screaming Eagles lineup. Pelletier, a native of
Gatineau, Quebec is currently 8th in scoring in the Quebec Midget AAA
Hockey League.
Newly
acquired forwards Bryce Milson (acquired from Drummondville) and Michael
Lyle (Acadie-Bathurst) will also arrive on time to play in this
weekend’s games.
