Affiliate Collin Peters Joins the Lumberjacks for the Weekend

MUSKEGON, Michigan (October 30th) – The Muskegon Lumberjacks have announced that affiliate Forward Collin Peters will join the team for this weekend’s pair of games at Dubuque on Friday and at home against Cedar Rapids on Saturday as Connor Hurley leaves the team for the 2013 World Junior A Challenge that begins next week.

Peters, the Sheboygan, Wisconsin native, was drafted by the Lumberjacks in the seventh-round (98th overall) during the 2013 USHL Phase One Draft.  This season, Peters is playing for the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals Under-16 Midget Minor Team and has recorded 19 points (11 goals and 8 assists) in 15 games played.

Prior to joining the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals, Peters played the last two seasons with Sheboygan (Wisconsin) High School totaling 88 points (53 goals and 35 assists) in 50 games played.

Connor Hurley will be playing for Team USA during this year’s World Junior A Challenge that takes place November 4-10th in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and features five other teams in Canada West, Canada East, Russia, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.  Before the tournament begins, Team USA will play in an exhibition game this Saturday against Canada West at 6:00 pm.
