Devon McAndrews joins Tri-City

Press Release

Kennewick, WA – Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that 18-year-old forward Devon McAndrews has joined the Americans.  McAndrews will join the team immediately and will be available this weekend.

McAndrews, a 6’4 210-pound left wing from Edmonton, Alberta, was originally listed by the Medicine Hat Tigers, before having his WHL rights traded to Tri-City last October in exchange for a conditional 6th round pick in the 2014 Bantam Draft.  McAndrews opted to spend the 2012-13 season with the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, appearing in 52 games and collecting 5 goals, 15 points and 71 penalty minutes.  This season, McAndrews was in the midst of his second season with the Saints, having played in 15 games with two assists and 27 penalty minutes, before deciding to join the Americans.

“Devon is a big power-forward who skates well for his size,” explained Tory.  “We look forward to him joining our team and making a positive impact.”
