Press Release

Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that forward Darcy Ashley of the Halifax Mooseheads is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending October 27 after scoring three goals and five assists for eight points in three games with a plus-minus rating of plus-6.

Ashley helped lead the Mooseheads to three wins last week collecting first star honours in two of those games beginning last Wednesday night in a big matchup against the Charlottetown Islanders.  Against one of the QMJHL’s top teams, Ashley scored twice including the game-winner and picked up an assist as first star of the 4-2 win.  On Friday night in the first of back-to-back games against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, Ashley recorded three assists as part of the 5-2 win, then netted the game-winner with an assist on Saturday again claiming first star honours in the 4-3 victory.
