Steelheads acquire Jacob Jammes from London

Mississauga, ON – The Mississauga Steelheads announced today that they have acquired left winger Jacob Jammes from the London Knights in exchange for a 5th round pick in 2014. Jammes, a native of Ottawa, Ontario played his minor hockey with the Ottawa Jr. 67’s Minor Midget AAA organization where he posted 50 points (33 goals 17 assists) in 30 games, adding 22 penalty minutes.

 Jammes was selected by the London Knights in the 2nd round, 31st overall, at the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. Jammes appeared in 27 games last season with the Knights, posting 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists), and adding 13 penalty minutes. So far this season, he has recorded 3 assists in 8 games.

Steelheads General Manager and Head Coach, James Boyd, is excited to welcome Jammes to the team, adding “the acquisition of Jacob Jammes adds a combination of speed and skill that complements our line-up.”
