Cowichan Capitals acquire Matt Foster

Press Release

The Cowichan Capital have obtained the CJHL playing rights to 1995 born Matt Foster. Matt is a 6’1” defenceman from Tisdale, Saskatchewan. Last season, in 44 games with the Tisdale Trojans of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA league, Matt tallied 12 points and 31 PIM. He began this season with the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL.

“Matt is a good skating, puck moving Dman. He is a young guy that we feel will help us for the next 2 or 3 years.” Said Head Coach Bob Beatty.

Join us in welcoming Matt to the Cowichan Valley. Come on out and cheer him on this Sunday, as the Capitals take on the Nanaimo Clippers. Puck drops at 2PM.
