KCRG 9.2 to televise five Saints games

Press Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Dubuque Fighting Saints announced today that five home games during the 2013-2014 season will be televised thanks to a partnership with KCRG 9.2. This is the fourth year the Fighting Saints have partnered with KCRG 9.2 to broadcast games to fans across the Tri-State region. The first broadcast from the Mystique Community Ice Center will be Friday, November 1 versus Muskegon. KCRG 9.2 will also televise games on January 4, February 8, March 8, and March 22.

"KCRG 9.2 is committed to live, local community coverage," said KCRG Broadcast Product Director Shannon Booth. "A perfect partnership is the one we've developed with the Dubuque Fighting Saints. KCRG is thrilled to be broadcasting several games in Dubuque again this season to our viewers across the area."

Three of the five broadcasts are Prairie Farms Cowbell Cup rivalry games. This rivalry series is a battle between the Fighting Saints, the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, and the Waterloo Blackhawks for the club with the best head-to-head record against their Eastern Iowa foes. KCRG 9.2 will televise Dubuque's home games versus Waterloo on both January 4 and February 8, as well as a Dubuque and Cedar Rapids tilt on March 22.

Fighting Saints broadcasters Zack Fisch and Don Keck will provide commentary for the KCRG 9.2 broadcasts. This season, KCRG 9.2's broadcasts will feature upgraded main cameras, and additional new cameras to provide viewers with angles of the game they have not seen before.

This is the fourth year the Fighting Saints and KCRG 9.2 have teamed up to televise games. The partnership began in the 2011 Clark Cup Playoffs, and has continued with KCRG 9.2 providing five regular season broadcasts of Fighting Saints games the last two seasons. The station has also aired select playoffs games, including televising Games 1 and 2 of the 2013 Clark Cup Final this past May.

The games televised on KCRG 9.2 will be available in the Dubuque area via Mediacom Cable on channels 109 and 115-6.
