Attack acquire Hargrave

Press Release

Owen Sound Attack General Manager Dale DeGray is announcing that the club has acquired forward Brett Hargrave from the Sarnia Sting in exchange for a 2nd Round Draft Choice in 2016, Windsor’s 3rd Round Draft Choice in 2017 and a 4th Round Draft Choice in 2014. There is a condition whereby the 2016 2nd Round Draft Choice will turn in to a 2014 2nd Round  Draft Choice should the Attack acquire a 2014 2nd Round Draft Pick before the trade deadline.

Coming to the Attack is seventeen year old Brett Hargrave. Hargrave was a 1st Round Draft Pick of the Sting in 2012, 13th overall. The 6’4, 205lb winger notched 6 goals and 5 assists in his rookie year in 2012/2013 and had a goal and three assists in nine games this season before going home to await a trade. During last year’s World U17 Challenge, the North Bay native had 2 goals and 3 assists in 5 games for Team Ontario.

“During Brett’s draft year we saw a lot of qualities that appealed to us.”, said DeGray. “He is a big winger and we feel he will help our club this year and in the coming years. We’d like to welcome Brett and his family into the Attack organization.”
