Final Day Results

The South Division downed the North Division, 5-2, in the final game of the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament at the Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Springfield’s Nick Curry was named the Player of the Game after recording three assists, including one on Sean McKenzie’s (Wichita Falls) game-winning marker.

Springfield’s Brandon Bahnemann and Trey Frey, St. Louis’ Kyle Greco and Topeka’s Bryon Paulazzo notched the other South goals.

Mahoning Valley’s Johnny Meo and Motor City’s Ryan Misiak scored for the North Division.

Between the pipes, St. Louis’ Keith Kinkaid made 19 saves for the South; Alpena’s Nick Graves and Mahoning Valley’s Jordan Tibbett combined to stop 22 shots.

CENTRAL DIVISION 5, WEST DIVISION 2:
The Central Division defeated the West Division, 5-2, in the first game of the third and final day of the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament.

North Iowa’s Brandon Brodhag was named the Player of the Game after connecting for a pair of goals and an assist for the Central Division.

Bismarck’s John Wickman, Owatonna’s Cory Thorson (game-winner) and Albert Lea’s Mitch Torrell scored the other Central goals.

Alaska’s Kyle Pichler and Fairbanks’ Brandon Martell tallied for the West.

In goal, Alexandria’s Ryan Leets and Bismarck’s Matt Grogan combined to stop 24 shots for the Central Division; Fairbanks’ Phil Cook and Wenatchee’s Mathieu Dugas teamed up to make 23 saves for the West.
