MJHL All-Star Festivities

This year’s All-Star Weekend in Selkirk has been an overwhelming success, beginning with the Selkirk Steelers Alumni playing a spirited game Friday nite, followed by the always popular MJHL Skills Competition staged Saturday afternoon.

The Prospects Game wrapped up Saturday’s action with the Sher-Wood Division posting a come-from-behind 6-5 victory over the Addison Division. Click here to see the action.

The All-Star Weekend continues today (Sunday, Jan. 24) with the MJHL All-Star game, pitting the best from the Addison against the best from the Sher-Wood Divisions.

“Fans enjoy seeing the best players perform,” says MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis. “The Selkirk organizers have done a tremendous job with this year’s all-star weekend.

Winners of the Skills Competition were:

Puck Control: Blair Macaulay, Winnipeg Saints

Fastest Skater: Adam Stoykewych, Winnipeg South Blues

Shootout: Kyle Fisher, Portage Terriers

Shootout Accuracy: Evan Gravenor, Winnipeg South Blues

Goalie Competition, Alan Armour, Selkirk Steelers
