My 2010 Team USA Roster

I will take a stab at Team USA's World Junior Team for next season

Goalies

Mike Lee (Fargo Force USHL, will be at St. Cloud State next year)
Brandon Maxwell (U-18 NTDP, will be a Kitchener Ranger next year)

Other Possablities

Connor Knapp (Miami (OH) CCHA)
Joe Cannata (Merrimack Hockey East)
Adam Murray (U-18 NTDP committed to Denver WCHA)
Adam Brown (Kelowna Rockets WHL)

The United States will be going with two player that are 2009 Draft eligible. Mike Lee is a late 90 and Maxwell will get experience for the 2011 Tournament in Buffalo.

Defense

John Carlson (London Knights OHL)
Jake Gardiner (Wisconsin WCHA)
Aaron Ness (Minnesota WCHA)
Cam Fowler (U-18 NTDP, committed to Notre Dame CCHA)
Max Nicastro (Chicago Steel USHL, committed to Boston University Hockey East)
John Moore (Chicago Steel USHL, committed to Colorado College WCHA)
Adam Comrie (Saginaw Spirit OHL)

Other Possibilities

Sean Lorenz (Notre Dame CCHA)
Nick Mattson (U-18 NTDP, will play with the Des Moines Buccaneers next season)
David Warsofsky (Boston University Hockey East)
Collin Bowman (Kelowna Rockets WHL)
Brendan Rempel (U-18 NTDP committed to Harvard ECAC)
Beau Schmitz (Plymouth Whalers OHL)
Seth Helgeson (Lincoln Stars USHL committed to Minnesota WCHA)

USA Hockey won't make the same mistake as they did this season as they left Carlson off the roster. Only problem he might be with the Washington Capitals next season Zach Bogosian is still eligible but I can't see him playing as he will be with the Thrashers.

Forwards

Jordan Schroeder (Minnesota WCHA)
Danny Kristo (Omaha Lancers USHL committed to North Dakota WCHA)
Tyler Johnson (Spokane Chiefs WHL)
Mitch Wahl (Spokane Chiefs WHL)
Jeremy Morin (U-18 NTDP, undecided for next year)
Drew Shore (U-18 NTDP, committed to Denver University WCHA)
Philip McRae (London Knights OHL)
Vinny Saponari (Boston University Hockey East)
AJ Jenks (Plymouth Whalers OHL)
Derek Stepan (Wisconsin WCHA)
David Wohlberg (Michigan CCHA)
Kyle Palmieri (U-18 NTDP, committed to Notre Dame CCHA)
Mike Cichy (Tri-City Storm USHL committed to North Dakota WCHA)

Other possibilities

Andrew Yogan (Erie Otters OHL)
Austin Watson (Windsor Spitfires OHL)
Ryan Bourque (U-18 NTDP committed to the University of New Hampshire Hockey East)
Tyler Maxwell (Everett Silvertips)
Kenny Ryan (U-18 NTDP committed to Boston College Hockey East)
Robbie Czarnik (Michigan CCHA)
Jared Knight (London Knights)

Jordan Schroeder should have a big tournament. He will be missing his two linemates. Jeremy Morin should be on one of his wings. Philip McRae should have a big tournament. Look out for Derek Stepan, he's having an outstanding freshman year at Wisconsin.

That's My Take

Brown and Bowman in Kelowna have had very good seasons. Bowman was with USA Hockey at the Ivan Hlinka so at least they aren't overlooking him like they did his brother last year.

Wow, there sure is lots of talent out there to make a pretty strong 2010 Junior team! Futue looks promising with the possibility of all these guys! Hopefully better than a 5th place anyway!

Can you send your list to USA hockey? They seem to have a difficult time identifying the talent. Great Roster! I even like your "other possibilities" guys!

If you are gonna have 92's on the list I would move Saad and Nieto onto that list and omit Watson and Knight...imho

Lee won't be at SCSU next year unless Weslosky or Dunn leave.
If he isn't there, I wonder if USA Hockey would pick him as he'd still be in the USHL.

Lee is so good Motzko will make one of the others leave. Otherwise he is a flight risk to CHL.
