DOGS EXCHANGE DEFENCEMEN WITH PEI

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs were active on the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League trade front again Wednesday.

Saint John shipped 18-year-old defenceman Tyrone Sock to the Prince Edward Island Rocket in exchange for 19-year-old rearguard Jordan Moore.

Sock, a native of Elsipogtog, N.B., appeared in 33 games over parts of three seasons, including nine earlier this campaign. He had four assists and 15 penalty minutes to bring his career totals to five assists and 30 penalty minutes.

Moore, who hails from Charlottetown, has 75 games of QMJHL experience with the Rocket and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, totalling a goal and 5 points to go along with 45 penalty minutes.

This season Moore is an assistant captain with the Pictou County Weeks Crushers of the Maritime League. The six-foot-one, 200-pounder is third in scoring among defencemen in the junior A loop with 28 points through 31 games.
