Grizzlies forward Myles Fitzgerald has been named the Gongshow BCHL
Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 16, the league announced
Monday.
Fitzgerald rang up seven points, including five goals,
and two 1st Star nods to help the Grizz maintain their first-place spot
in the Island Division. In a 7-0 win over the Prince George Spruce
Kings, he assisted on three of the goals, followed with two tallies of
his own in a 3-2 overtime win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and
capped the week with his first hat trick of the season - including the
winning goal - in a 5-2 win over the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
Now
with 15 goals and 23 assists on the season, Fitzgerald continues to
lead Victoria in scoring and has moved up to sixth in the BCHL scoring
race.
