Press Release
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) Movember campaign was all
about bringing back the moustache, having fun and doing it for a serious
cause; men's health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer
initiatives. The players in the NAHL started Movember 1st clean shaven.
For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo
Bros, groomed, trimmed and waxed their way into the annals of fine
moustachery.
It was a legendary month for the mo’s, and the NAHL is pleased to announce the winners of the NAHL’s Movember campaign.
In the team category, it was a two horse race at the end as the
Odessa Jackalopes and the Johnstown Tomahawks were in a race to the
finish to see which team could raise the most funds. Congratulations go
to the Odessa Jackalopes for raising the most funds and winning the NAHL’s Movember campaign.
Odessa was bolstered by the NAHL individual player winner, forward Pat Thompson.
Thompson, a 19-year-old from Hellertown, Pennsylvania, was able to
generate almost a third of the total funds raised by the team.
For raising the most funds, the Odessa Jackalopes will receive a team
prize package from Gongshow Gear. Thank you to all who supported the
NAHL’s Movember campaign. Here is wishing good luck to all the freshly
shaven and clean faces of the NAHL players in December!
