RBC SJHL PLAYERS OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER

Press Release

RBC SJHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER:
Joey Davies, Humboldt Broncos

1992 F Joey Davies (Demorestville ON) led all SJHLers during the month of November by scoring 10-goals and 9-assists in 10-games played.  Davies was, especially, hot in the early part of the month by winning the Canalta Hotels SJHL Player Of The Week Award three times in a row.  He started November with a five point game against La Ronge and had back to back four point nights on the 9th and 13th against Yorkton and Melfort, respectively.  For the season, Davies goes into December with 18-goals and 16-assists in 25-games.

RBC SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER:
Mitch Boucher, Notre Dame Hounds

1992 D Mitch Boucher (Moose Jaw SK) really emerged as a top tier offensive threat on the back end for the Hounds in November, helping them compile a 10-1-and-1 record overall.  Boucher scored 2-goals and 10-assists in 12-games played.  Included in Boucher’s month were two 3-point games and one 2-point affair.  He also started the month with points in five consecutive games.  For the season, Boucher has scored 5-goals and 14-assists in 24-games played.

RBC SJHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER:
Sam Aulie, Notre Dame Hounds

1994 F Sam Aulie (Lumsden SK) finished as the third leading scorer in the league for the month of November, so he garners the nod for being the SJHL’s top rookie.  Aulie finished November as a central figure for the red hot Hounds, compiling 8-goals and 8-assists in 12-games played.  Aulie was also a model of consistency, recording, at least, a point in ten of the twelve games played.  He’s also staking his claim to be considered for the season’s top rookie nod as he is second in rookie scoring with 14-goals and 11-assists in 25-games.

RBC SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER:
Matt Hrynkiw, Humboldt Broncos

1992 G Matt Hrynkiw (Saskatoon SK) simply puts up eye popping numbers week after week, month after month, and year after year.  The final year puckstopper was exceptional again during November as he went 5-and-2 with a 1.43-GAA and a .952-SPCT.  He also recorded a shutout and allowed only ten goals all month.  In fact, if you take away the first game of the month, Hrynkiw was actually 4-and-2, 1.00, .965.  Not surprisingly, he goes into December leading the league in goals against average, save percentage, and shutouts.  He’s 12-and-6, 1.82, .938, 3SO as of December 1st.
