Press Release
The Tier 1 Elite Hockey League is proud to announce the launch of a partnership with MYHockeyRankings.com.
Since 2002, MYHockeyRankings.com has been building
the largest database of youth hockey information in North America. It
has become the gold standard of rankings in the youth hockey community
as it continues to build out its' tools and features in order to enrich
overall youth hockey experience.
The T1EHL has agreed to partner with MYHockey Rankings to establish a
customized version of the program for the league's organizations. T1EHL
organizations in the U18 and U16 divisions will be able to view the
rankings within the comfort of the league's website.
How does the ranking system work? The rankings are based on T1EHL
games exclusively, and are computed using the same advanced algorithms
that are used in MYHockeyRankings.com's public
site. One key component is that the customized version provided to the
T1EHL includes wins, losses, and the league's unique system of overtime
wins/losses . The rankings will provide insight to the league
match-ups, and will set the stage for the seeding in the League
Championships, scheduled for February in Blaine, MN. For those
interested in looking at the MYHockeyRankings.com
public site, it is important to note that the algorithms and
calculations there include games, tournaments, and teams from all across
North America, which can make the public rankings significantly
different than the T1EHL exclusive rankings.
The T1EHL rankings will be updated each Wednesday morning and will
automatically be posted to the Tier 1 website from now through the end
of the season. The last update will be released on Monday, February
18th, 2013. Questions or issues with the rankings should be reported
through the team's manager, who can communicate the issue to the T1EHL
office for review.
MYHockeyRankings.com provides an entire database of youth hockey
information to the general public at no cost. Memberships are available
to those who want to support the site and are interested in nearly a
dozen premium features. You can check out these additional options HERE.
