Americans Sign Prospect Justin Marreck

Press Release

KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the club has signed 16-year-old list prospect Justin Marreck to a standard WHL Players Contract.

Marreck, a 6’3 175-pound right winger from West Kelowna, British Columbia, spent the 2011-12 season competing as a member of the Okanagan Rockets AAA Midget squad, appearing in 40 games and compiling 15 goals, 33 points and 12 penalty minutes. Marreck, who was listed by Tri-City in June of 2011, competed alongside fellow Americans’ prospect Parker Bowles and helped guide the Rockets to a 20-12-8 record last season. With 15 goals in 2011-12, Marreck placed inside the Rockets’ top-5 in goals scored.

“Justin has had a tremendous training camp and earned this opportunity,” Tory explained. “We are pleased to add him to our program.”

Justin will stay with the club through this weekend’s Everett Silvertips Pre-Season Tournament and then will return to Kelowna to play a second season with the Okanagan Rockets.
