Otters trim training camp roster to 38

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League announced today that they have reduced their Training Camp roster to 38 players following today’s sessions.

Re-assigned to their home teams today were 2012 OHL Priority Selections Riley Robertson (3rd round, 55th overall), Darren Raddysh (5th round, 84th overall), Thomas Lattavo (6th round, 104th overall), Gregory Allen (6th round, 115th overall), Travis Dermott (9th round, 164th overall), Quentin Maksimovich (11th round, 204th overall), Bryan Sienerth (13th round, 244th overall), Nathan Kohler (14th round, 264th overall) and Jake Ryan Ireland (15th round, 300th overall); 2011 OHL Priority Selection Nathan Miller (9th round, 174th overall) and free agent invite Francesco Tolfa.

A total of 38 players remain in camp attempting to secure a spot on the Otters 2012-13 roster.

The Otters will take on the defending Eastern Conference champion Niagara IceDogs on Friday, August 31st at the Morgan Firestone Arena in Ancaster. Tickets for the 7:00 p.m. contest are $10.00 and a portion of the proceeds will support Ancaster’s Rotary Spray Pad Project. On Saturday, September 1st at 7:00 p.m., the Otters will face off against the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Rouyn-Noranda Huskies at the North Wentworth Arena in Flamborough, Ontario. That game will benefit Skate the Dream program, which provides kids that would not normally have the opportunity to play ice hockey a chance to participate. Tickets are $12.00 or $10.00 with a donation to the Flamborough Food Bank. Tickets can be purchased at the Morgan Firestone Arena.
