Baie-Comeau raises awareness for Haiti

Press Release

BAIE-COMEAU, Thursday, January 21, 2010 – The Baie-Comeau Drakkar invites its fans to tomorrow’s game to help the humanitarian efforts in Haiti. The organization will donate $1 to the Red Cross for every fan in attendance as the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles face-off against the Drakkar at the Henry-Léonard Center. Should the attendance figure surpass 2,500 fans, the Drakkar will repeat the event the following night.

This gesture is also meant to support one of our former captains, Maxime Fortunus, whose family is of Haitian decent.

The organization hopes that fans will come in large numbers to support this cause.
