Lenz Commits to University of Vermont

The Des Moines Buccaneers announced that forward H.T. Lenz will play collegiately at the University of Vermont following his USHL career.

The native of Vienna, Virginia leads Des Moines with 15 goals and is third on the team in scoring with 32 points (15g, 17a) through 33 games this season. It is the second USHL season for Lenz after appearing in all 60 regular season games for the Bucs in 2008-09 and collecting 28 points (8g, 20a).

Lenz will be joined by Buccaneers teammate Connor Brickley at Vermont in addition to three other current USHL players who are committed to the school; Anthony DeCenzo (Tri-City Storm), Blake Doerring (Fargo Force), and Colin Markison (Omaha Lancers).

The University of Vermont Catamounts are a member of Hockey East and have 10 former USHL players on their roster for the 2009-10 season; Drew MacKenzie (Waterloo Black Hawks), Kyle Medvec (Sioux City Musketeers), Colin Vock (Des Moines Buccaneers), Brian Roloff (Green Bay Gamblers), Ben Albertson (Indiana Ice), Jack Downing (Omaha Lancers), Tobias Nilsson-Roos (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders), Dan Lawson (Lincoln Stars), Rob Madore (Chicago Steel), and Mike Spillane (Omaha Lancers).
