Edmonton Oil Kings CN Hockey Hooky Day

Press Release

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings host the Kootenay Ice this Wednesday and they'll be the answer to a trivia question some time down the road. Edmonton will host the first ever 11:30 a.m. regular season mid-week game in the history of the Western Hockey League. It's our first ever CN Hockey Hooky. Thousands of kids will be on hand for the educational field trip of the year. Local businesses stepped up and purchased tickets through the CN Adopt-A-School program so thousands of kids from all over Oil Country will be at the game thanks to the generosity of Edmontonians and fans of major junior hockey.

There'll be an educational curriculum built into the game day presentation where students will be able to participate in activities at the rink where they learn about hockey and what life is like in the WHL. This past summer, the Edmonton Capitals hosted the first ever Home Run Hooky which was a smashing success and the organization is set to hit another home run with Wednesday's crowd expected to be over 8,000 boisterous new fans of Oil Kings hockey.

It's also another SONiC Wiener Wednesday where hot dogs will be on sale for just $2 bucks!

Founders Club members and season seat holders are encouraged to take time out of their busy schedules to join us at this Wednesday's game for what's sure to be one of the most unique hockey experiences this season! If you are unable to use your tickets to the game, don't forget to take advantage of our Never Waste A Ticket Program.

Fans can exchange any unused tickets this season to a future game of their choice. CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS
