Burgess Family to be Honoured Friday

The Wolves are back at it again this Friday night when they host Ontario Hockey League Champions, the Owen Sound Attack at the Sudbury Arena. Game time is 7:30pm. This is the final game between these two clubs this season, as the Wolves took the first game 2-1 in a shootout a month ago in Owen Sound. Owen Sound is lead by forward DANIEL CATENACCI and have solid goaltending in both JORDAN BINNINGTON and SCOTT STAJCER.

This game is dedicated to celebrating the Burgess Family’s 25 years of ownership of the Wolves, the longest standing ownership currently in the league. The Burgess Family will be honoured prior to the start of the game and numerous alumni will be on hand to congratulate them including Rory Fitzpatrick, Bob MacIsaac, Sean Venedam and Terry Chitaroni. Special pre-game presentations will be made by OHL Commissioner David Branch and Mayor Matichuck.

The Toronto Maple Leaf’s in-game promotions team will also be on hand with Carlton the Bear and the Leafs Blue Crew and the intermissions will feature their famous Great Canadian Goalie Races and Slingshot Bowling. There will also be plenty of giveaways, so don’t miss out on this exciting 40th anniversary action.

Don’t forget to participate in the 40th Anniversary Special Jersey Auction. This week, up for bid is a Marc Staal Autographed Replica Jersey. Visit the Auction Table behind section 2 before the game and during intermissions to place your bid!

The Wolves will then continue the weekend at when they travel to Barrie on Saturday to battle the Barrie Colts. Game time is 7:30pm. The Colts continue to be lead by OHL Leading Scorer, TANNER PEARSON, who currently has 51 points in 22 games. This is the third meeting between these two teams this season. Follow the Wolves on the road with Stew Kernan on KFM 95.5 and don’t miss out on any of the action.
