Nepean's Johnston is Corporate Hype POW

The Central Canada Tier 1 Junior A Hockey League is pleased to announce that the Corporate Hype Player of the Week is Ryan Johnston of the Nepean Raiders. Johnston’s play was a key to the Raiders earning 5 of the 6 points this past week with wins over the Carleton Place Canadians and Gloucester Rangers, dropping an overtime loss to the same Canadians. He had five points (2G, 3A), the defenseman’s consistency has helped the Raiders maintain the top spot overall in the CCHL. At the half-way mark in the season Johnston leads all defenseman in scoring with 39 points (13G, 26A), as well as 3-star voting with 23 points.

The Canadian Junior Hockey League Top 20 rankings now feature four Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) teams this week. The Nepean Raiders (24-3-3-1) remain in the Top 10 rising one spot to # 8 in Canada. The Carleton Place Canadians (22-6) drop from # 10 to # 12, the Brockville Braves (21-6-2) are # 19 while the Cornwall Colts (21-6-0-1) earn Honorable Mention status this week.
