Rivermen Add D-Man to Roster

Township of Langley, BC, Wednesday, November 17, 2011: The Langley Rivermen are pleased to add 20 year old defensemen Richard Coyne to their roster. Richard comes to the club from the Lincoln Stars of the USHL where he played 55 games in two seasons. In 2009-2010 he split time with the Sioux Falls Stampede and Chicago Steel playing 43 games between those them. Richard is 6’2”, 190 pounds and will add great depth to the blue line for the Rivermen .

“He is a big, steady defensemen that can skate very well”, says Rivermen defensive coach Bobby Henderson. With Lincoln last season, Richard put up 2 goals and 3 assists and had 64 PIMS with a plus 9 rating, “Richard’s leadership is a big asset to our club and will be relied upon to shut down the oppositions best players on any given night”.

The Rivermen staff and ownership would like to welcome Richard to the team.
