Saulnier, Grigorenko and Duffy are the TELUS three stars of the week

Alex Saulnier, Mikhail Grigorenko and Ben Duffy were named today the TELUS three stars of the week for the period spanning November 14th to the 20th.

Moncton Wildcats center Alex Saulnier is the first star after collecting 7 points in only two games. During the game against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Thursday, he was named the first star of the game after recording his first hat trick this season (the second of his QMJHL career) on top of adding an assist in a 5-2 win. On Saturday, against the Victoriaville Tigres, he recorded an assist on his brother Allain’s game-winning goal. The goal broke a 3-3 tie halfway through the 3rd period. He also extended his point streak to 9 consecutive games. In all, Saulnier scored 3 goals, added 4 assists and registered a +4 rating.

The second star goes to Mikhail Grigorenko, the Quebec Remparts’ right-winger. Grigorenko collected 7 points this week of which 5 were on the road. Wednesday, he collected one goal and two assists in a 4-2 win over the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. Friday, the Remparts overtook the Océanic 4-3 thanks to a two-point performance. Finally on Saturday, he was named the second star of the game after registering a goal and an assist which allowed the Remparts to celebrate a 6-1 victory over the Halifax Mooseheads. He finished the week with 3 goals, 4 assists and a +4 rating.

Ben Duffy is the recipient of the third star thanks to 2 goals and 6 assists this week. The P.E.I. Rocket center collected 3 assists against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and another one on Friday versus the Saint John Sea Dogs. Moreover, he scored two goals on Sunday against the Victoriaville Tigres while adding two assists. He was named the second star of the games played on Wednesday and Sunday.
