Press Release
The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League
(NAHL), have announced that Head Coach and General Manager Pete Sauer has been relieved of his duties effective immediately.
Wings ownership met on Monday and came to the conclusion that in the
best interest of the team, a change and new direction was needed. The
Wings have currently lost four straight games and are in last place in
the NAHL’s Central Division.
Assistant coach Garrett Strot will serve as the interim
head coach for the remainder of the 2012-13 season. A decision on a
permanent head coach will be decided at a later date.
