CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYEROF THE WEEK
Giovanni Bombini, Kindersley Klippers


1993 F Giovanni Bombini (Edmonton AB) had a couple of three point games last week, including a 1-goal, 2-assist effort on Saturday night in a win over the Melville Millionaires.  He finished with 2-goals and 5-assists in 4-games played.  The former AJHLer is in his first SJHL season and is blossoming into a bonafide first liner.  For the season, Bombini now has 13-goals and 15-assists in 27-games played.

CANALTA HOTELS SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Brady Norrish, Yorkton Terriers


1993 D Brady Norrish (Strongfield SK) had a banner night on Sunday in a win over the Kindersley Klippers, scoring two goals and two assists.  Norrish, who is in his second SJHL season, is starting to dominate games from the back end and is maturing into one of the top two-way defensemen in the league.  Offensively, he’s up to 5-goals and 14-assists in 27-games this season.

CANALTA HOTELS SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Shaun MacPherson, Kindersley Klippers


1994 D Shaun MacPherson (Edmonton AB) collected a goal and three assists in four games played last week as he registered, at least, a point in three of the four games he played.  Saturday night, in an overtime win over Melvile, MacPherson set up an early second period powerplay goal and then scored the overtime winner.   He is the most offensive defenseman on the Klippers’ roster and has a very bright future ahead of him.  He now has 2-goals and 13-assists in 28-games overall.

CANALTA HOTELS SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Curtis Martinu, Estevan Bruins


1992 G Curtis Martinu (St. Joachim ON) began the week with back to back shutouts and ended with a 2-and-1 record and a 1.67-GAA to go with a .951-SPCT.  Martinu made 42-saves against Notre Dame on Tuesday night and then kicked out 33-shots on Friday versus Humboldt.  For the season, the busiest goaltender in the SJHL is 8-and-16, 3.16, .900.
