Bob Beatty tenders resignation after nine seasons

Press Release

The La Ronge Ice Wolves regretfully announce they have accepted the resignation of Coach/General Manager Bob Beatty.

Beatty leaves the Ice Wolves after nine seasons at the helm, during which time he helped shape La Ronge into a model SJHL franchise and also helped turn the Mel Hegland Communiplex into the toughest arena for visiting teams to earn two points.  More importantly, Beatty guided the club to back to back SJHL championships in 2010 and 2011.

In a press release from the club, the Ice Wolves say they are extremely appreciative of the work Bob has done with, not only, the hockey club but also with the community, in general, and all of its surrounding areas.

Beatty says he’d like to thank the Ice Wolves for allowing him the opportunity to work and develop the franchise as well as thanking the area residents for embracing him and allowing to become a member of their community.  Beatty says La Ronge and the SJHL will always have a special place in his heart as he has been a member of the league for the last 17 years.
