The Lansing Capitals of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) have announced that 18U forward Conor Durgan has signed an NAHL tender with the Michigan Warriors. The Warriors are members of the NAHL’s North Division and were a 2011 NAHL Robertson Cup Finalist.
Durgan, 18, was named as the NAPHL’s Pointstreak Peak
Performer for the month of January. His performance led Lansing to
capture the 18U regular season title. In the NAPHL Championships played
this past weekend, the Capitals made it all the way to the Championship
game, where they lost to eventual Champion, Indiana Jr. Ice.
Durgan, who is from Laingsburg, Michigan, is blessed with
good size (6’1/190) and a nice scoring touch as proven during the month
of January. While helping the Capitals go undefeated in the Troy I
event, Durgan had six points (5 goals, 1 assist, 2 game-winning goals)
at the event and managed to register at least a point in each of the
four wins.
During the 2012-13 season, he finished tied for 5th
in team scoring with 13 points in 22 NAPHL games played this past
season. Durgan is the second Lansing 18U player to sign an NAHL tender.
Teammate Ryan Polin previously tendered with the Topeka RoadRunners.
