Bulls Add Defenseman Dean Rhymer

Press Release

As the Amarillo Bulls get ready for two games against the Corpus Christi IceRays tonight (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday) morning they welcome a new defenseman to the line-up.

The Bulls have added defenseman Dean Rhymer from the Los Angeles Jr. Kings program. Rhymer, who has tendered with the Bulls for next season, will get his first opportunity to skate for his future team. The Aliso Viejo California native also spent time with the California Jr. Titans program of the North American Prospects Hockey League. The affiliated players have certainly made an impact when they have been inserted into the Bulls line-up.

“I think it is a great opportunity to come out and meet the guys,” said Bulls Head Coach Dennis Williams.  “Dean comes from a good program and Coach Jack Bowkus does a terrific job out there with his players. Rocky has had an opportunity to watch him, and I know we have had others watch him too. We’ve heard nothing but great things about him. This is an opportunity to get him in for a couple of games.”

Rhymer said he is looking forward to getting into action.

“I am really excited to play with the Bulls,” Rhymer said. “Coach Bowkus has done a great job preparing for this level by keeping me calm, focused and ready for everything.”
