Desjardins earns 300th victory

Press Release

Couretesy CP -- For Medicine Hat Tigers head coach Willie Desjardins, Saturday night's victory was worth more than two points.

Desjardins earned his 300th career win coaching the Tigers as Medicine Hat downed the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-2 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

Desjardins, who is also the Club's General Manager and the Head Coach of Canada's World Junior team, is the only coach in Tigers history to record 300 career regular-season wins.

During his time behind the Medicine Hat bench, Desjardins has a 300-164-58 record in the regular season, along with a WHL Championship and Memorial Cup appearance in 2003-04.
