Ostapchuk is back with the Huskies

BOUCHERVILLE, Friday, November 27, 2009 – Russian forward Sergey Ostapchuk is coming back to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The 19-year-old right-winger confirmed that he would be back with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the near future.

“We are extremely happy to have him back,” said head coach and GM André Tourigny. “Sergey is an explosive offensive player who will undoubtedly help us tremendously in the second half of the season and beyond.”

Ostapchuk recorded 29 goals and 34 assists in 61 games with the Huskies last season. Moreover, he registered four points in five playoff games.
