Two Spitfieres clear waivers

Press Release

Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires today announced that overage goaltender Josh Unice and overage right-winger Ryan Baldwin have cleared waivers. The Spitfires had to reduce the number of overage players to four today as per OHL regulations and the team kept Spitfires Captain Harry Young along with Scott Timmins and Dale Mitchell as the team’s overage players. The fourth open overage spot retained by the Spitfires will be available to the team until January, as OHL teams will then be required to trim their roster to three overage players in the New Year.

“The Windsor Spitfires would like to thank Josh and Ryan for their contributions to the team this year. With the unexpected return of Scott Timmins and Dale Mitchell to our lineup, we were forced to make a tough decision in putting both Josh and Ryan on waivers. We wish Josh and Ryan the very best of luck in their hockey careers,” said Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manager Warren Rychel.
