MJHL postpones 2 games

Press Release

With it's lineup depleted by a severe flu strain, Waywayseecappo Wolverines had been scheduled to play in Selkirk on Saturday and in Winkler on Sunday. Reschedule dates have yet to be determined.

“It's unfortunate that our players and support staff are affected by this flu but we are not about to compromise our safety,” said MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis. “We are closely monitoring this situation and teams are continually providing us with medical updates.”

A number of Wayway games have already been postponed - earlier this week in Portage and recently against Neepawa.

The MJHL is not the only junior hockey loop postponing games. The H1N1 flu virus has forced the Moncton Wildcats junior hockey team to cancel a pair of games later this week.
