Press Release

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that forward Ryan Spooner of the Peterborough Petes is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 29. Spooner scored eight points in three games with two goals and six assists and a plus-minus rating of plus-2.

Spooner’s week was highlighted by two four-point games where he was recognized with first star of the game honours in both contests. His first game was played Thursday night where he recorded four assists in a 6-3 win over the Sarnia Sting. His top performance was played in Saginaw on Saturday night where he scored his 11th and 12th goals of the season adding two assists in the 6-5 win over the Spirit. This game would mark his third four-point game of the season. Spooner and the Petes fell short Friday night against the Windsor Spitfires in their only other game this week.
