Fighting Saints Announce Partnership With Queen B Media

The Dubuque Fighting Saints, the team that will return to the United States Hockey League and begin play this fall at the brand new Mystique Community Ice Center, announced today that Queen B Media has agreed to a multi-year partnership under which KIYX-FM, "Super Hits 106.1" will serve as the exclusive radio home of the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

As the "Official Radio Home of the Dubuque Fighting Saints", all 60 of the Fighting Saints regular season games (home and away), as well as all USHL playoff games involving the team, will be aired live on KIYX-FM. Each broadcast will include a live 30 minute pre-game and post game show. As part of this fully-integrated partnership, KIYX-FM will broadcast a weekly "Coach's Show" (working title) from September - the end of the Fighting Saints season featuring Head Coach/ GM Jim Montgomery, Fighting Saints players, other members of the Fighting Saints organization and the hockey community. "Super Hits 106.1" will also air a weekly "Inside the Fighting Saints" feature during the morning or afternoon "drive-time" which will include an interview with a Fighting Saints personality. In addition to the on-air presence, Queen B Media and the Fighting Saints will work closely on a number of promotional initiatives throughout the year. The partnership also calls for "Super Hits 106.1" to receive other more "traditional" forms of exposure including dasherboard signage, LED messages on the center- hung scoreboard, signage in front of the radio broadcast position at all home games and apresence on the www.DubuqueFightingSaints.com which will include the ability for fans to listen to the game broadcasts live via the internet.

The Fighting Saints also announced the hiring of Patrick Murray to serve as the "Voice of the Fighting Saints". Murray joins the team after serving the last four years as the radio voice for the Miami University RedHawks hockey team which holds the best winning percentage in NCAA hockey over the last five years. Murray's tenure with the RedHawks was highlighted by calling the 2010 NCAA Frozen Four in Detroit, Michigan. In addition to his hockey broadcasting responsibilities at Miami, Murray also served as the Sports Director for WMSR and handled the play by play duties for the RedHawks football, basketball and baseball programs. The Woodstock, Illinois native is single and has relocated to Dubuque.
