Windsor Spitfires Goaltending Coach Paul Billing Signs Two Year Contract Extension

Press Release

(Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires today announced that the team has signed Goaltending Coach Paul Billing to a two-year contract extension for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons. In first season with the Spitfires for the 2009-2010 campaign, Billing's work with goaltenders Philipp Grubauer and Troy Passingham were key ingredients to the Spitfires success as the team captured its second straight MasterCard Memorial Cup championship.

"Paul did an outstanding job with both of our goalies this season. Philipp Grubauer won his last 12 playoff games in leading us to the MasterCard Memorial Cup and Rogers OHL titles, and Troy Passingham posted an impressive 35-10-3 record in net for us during the regular season. We're glad to have Paul with us for two more seasons and our goalies will be fortunate to work with him," said Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manager Warren Rychel.
