The early bird campaign came to an end recently and things look very positive. We are on a similar pace to last year, so we hope that we can attract some additional season ticket holders (both new and old) between now and September. Season tickets are the key to our success and we really need to improve the numbers in order to become more successful. A positive sign for us is that we have seen many new season tickets holders, along with returning season ticket holders from years' past. Hopefully we can continue to see success in this area.
The PEI Rocket have announced the details regarding this year's training camp, which is scheduled to begin on August 17th in Pownal. 6 Goaltenders, 13 Defensemen and 21 Forwards have confirmed attendance at this year's training camp. "We expect a couple of more players to be added to the list before the start of training camp", said Rocket President, Serge Savard Jr. "We can't wait to get started for the upcoming year and see who will be on that final roster". We will have a significant amount of local content at this year's training camp. Travis McIssac , Josh Currie and Jordan Moore, along with drafted Islanders Brandon Weir and Matt Stead. In addition, we have invited a few additional Islanders, including Jamie MacIntyre, Evan Carmody, Brad MacKenzie, Isaac MacDonald and Conor McAleer.
