Top 2012 Hockey Prospect Commits to University of Maine

Vaughan (July 15, 2010) - Highly regarded hockey prospect, Ryan Lomberg, has committed to joining the University of Maine Black Bears in 2012. Ryan Lomberg, the top scorer last season on the high recruited GTHL’s Mississauga Reps AAA Minor Midget team which saw 12 of its players drafted to the OHL has decided to play NCAA hockey. With 54 goals, 96 points, and +/- of plus 75 in 68 games Lomberg will be attending The Hill Academy to play for its inaugural U18 Prep Development Team coached by former CHL Lethbridge Hurricanes and London Knights Head Coach Lindsay Hoffard, former OHL player John Winstanley and former Pittsburgh Penguin Frank Pietrangelo. Lomberg is considered by some to be a top prospect for the NHL 2013 Entry Draft. Lomberg is training over the summer with former NHL players Jerome Dupont and Brad Tapper.
