Bombers Trade Minville For Forward

Press Release

Flin Flon Bombers Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan announced today that the team has traded defenseman Gabe Minville (92) to the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for forward Andrew Allan (92) and future considerations.

In 12 games this year with the Bombers, Minville (Winnipeg, MB) has two assists and 16 penalty minutes. Minville was brought in at the beginning of the year as part of the deal that saw Andrew Johnston go to the Humboldt Broncos.

In Allan (Winnipeg, MB), the Bombers receive a player that was acquired by the Terriers in the offseason from the Alberta Junior Hockey League, were the 6’2, 192 pounder had 12 points (2g, 10a) and 137 penalty minutes in 62 games split between the Camrose Kodiaks and the Calgary Mustangs. In 13 games this season Allan has three points (1g, 2a) and 10 penalty minutes in 13 games with Portage.

“We are happy with the way our younger guys are playing,” said Reagan. “(Justin) Schoffer and (Brock) Hounsell have to get minutes to develop and with Virts (Stefan Virtanen) coming back soon we felt we could move Gabe and acquire some size and grit up front. We feel we get this with Andrew.”
